A little bit about me!

    My name is Dennis Siburcrist.  I am a husband, father, teacher, and many other things rolled up into one gigantic, tightly wound ball of life.  My family and I live in New Mexico.  My family consists of Michelle (wife), Liam (son), and Solomon (son).  I am from the Midwest, but have been in the Southwest for about eight years.  Although we love living here, we plan to move in approximately a year.  Getting back to the Midwest is something we both would like to do.  There's something about raising our kids in the rural Midwest country that sits on our hearts.  Being outside is one of the ways that I love to spend my time.  Hiking is one of my favorite activities and I love to take my family on outings to explore the environment.  

     My wife and I are both teachers.  I have an elementary degree and love working with the kids.   I am currently working on my Master's Degree with a focus on "reading".  Reading has been a passion of mine since I was younger, and I hope to find more and more ways to get kids involved in reading.  I am currently working on my first novel.  It is a story based on human survival and family drama.  Although it has been a challenge, so far, it is quite rewarding.  I plan to spend this summer finishing the book and see where it goes from there.  I already have a couple of books that I have started brainstorming and will work on them when I am finished with this one.
